Celtics Storming Back

Kevin Garnett has managed to close the gap with Amare Stoudamire (20 for KG vs. 22 for Amare), although both guys are pretty much scoring on each other at will as the third quarter winds down.

With 3:20 to play in the third, the man Shaq calls the fourth best player on the Celtics, “Big Game” James Posey, was fouled making a three pointer and completed the rare four-point play. We are hearing that more and more from coaches, teammates, and opponents, that Posey is one of those guys you just have to have on your roster to win (like “Big Shot” Rob Horry). He always seems to be getting clutch rebounds and hitting big threes.

With 2:46 to play, Rajon Rondo flat out broke Steve Nash’s ankles on a drive to the hoop. Wow. Definite SportsCenter Top Ten play if they still show real plays instead of big slams. Incredible hesistation move.

Timeout Phoenix! 79-69 Celtics.
