“Let’s go Red Sox” returns

It’s like this game is being played on a nuetral field. This Angel crowd is dead. Maybe it’s the heat and heatstroke has set in. It seems to even have affected the Angel players as their normally reliable right fielder Gary Matthews Jr., know more for his defense than his offenainse (.242 average) just came in on a ball that went over his head for a 3 base error as Jacoby Ellsbury sprinted to 3rd.

Chants of “Let’s go Red Sox” have begun again and if the Ortiz can muster a hit here- this might be over….whoops-a strikeout leaves Ellsbury at 3rd and leaves it at 2-1 Sox.

John Lackey was just taken out after pitching a very solid 6 2/3’s innings- 3 weekly hit singles and a fly ball homer,.. and a sleeping Gary Matthews on defense.
