Sox Sign Tazawa

Pretty soon Red Sox fans won’t be able to understand any of the Red Sox players as today the Sox signed Japanese pitcher Junichi Tazawa.

Obviously this is not nearly as big of a signing as Daisuke but there are at least 30 Japanese journalists on hand while only 10-15 American journalists.

Tazawa, who was accompanied by an interpreter even tho Tazawa began answering one question asked by an english speaking journalist before being interrupted by the interpreter,  has signed a 3 year major league contract but will begin his career here in the minors, more specifically AA Portland.

Theo is saying that Tazawa has a good off speed splitter, throws 91-94 MPH and feerlessly. This news conference lasted a very long 55 minutes before all parties quickly disappeared behind the curtain.
