If the Patriots are going to go anywhere in the playoffs this year, then Tom Brady is going to have to quickly regain all of his old magic tricks.
Brady, who today was named the NFL’s comeback player of the year for his 28 touchdown 4398 yards passing performance in leading the Pats back to playoffs, is going to have to find some of that old magic if this flawed Patriots team is going to be playing in round 2 of the playoffs.
As you may remember, the Patriots barely (were very fortunate to) beat Baltimore in week 4 of the regular season when their receiver dropped a ball right in his hands at the 5 yard line with less than 30 seconds to go. The Ravens have not gotten any worse while the Patriots have had a very up and down season with a defense that has not been consistent. Have they improved? That is highly debatable.
The Patriots do have Tom Brady and Bill Belichick and that may be enough of an advantage for the Patriots to win this Sunday afternoon.
