The Celtics players should donate the pay they received from last night’s game to the Haiti fund because the Celtics didn’t do much to prove that they earned that money.
If you didn’t realize just how much the Celtics miss Kevin Garnett (and Rasheed AND Marquis Daniels) last night’s apathetic performance is exhibit A. Not much energy last night and their performance reflected that- they were down by 10 points just minutes into the game and they never recovered. The Celtics did have a few chances late to close within 3 points, but turnovers prevented that.
I’d file under -Worst game of the year, but maybe that’s because I was there and very disappointed that THAT is the best the team could put up. Now, this team did look tired, very tired and that stems from poor substituting by the coaching staff. That in fact is a much bigger issue because Ray Allen and Paul Pierce should not be playing such big minutes now in the middle of season that might burn them out for the much bigger picture- the playoffs.
